A)Distribution methods
The shows first airs in USA because that is where it is produced and it is on the Tv channel Starz after an episode has been on Starz it becomes available to other countries around the world. In Australia it becomes available on their version of Netflix which is called Stan. In the UK and Ireland it becomes available on Netflix and in Scandinavia and Finland it becomes available on HBO Nordic.
It is easy to get access to it because in America you can either watch it on Starz or Netflix but you do have to pay to watch Power on them. The Netflix subscription is $10.99 per month in America and the Starz subscription is $8.99 per month. The Netflix subscription in the UK and Ireland is £7.99. In Australia Stan costs $10 to use. So overall it is not too expensive to be able to gain access to episodes of Power.
Each Season gets released as a DVD and the box includes three discs for each season and there is currently DVD's for season 1,2 and 3 but there is yet to be a DVD for season 4 yet because it only came out in June 2017 and finished in September 2017. The DVD's are usually between £15-£20.
B)Advertising
Poster/Still Image
The Poster shows dark colours within the poster and there is not much brightness. I found this poster on a website but it probably would have also been advertised on social media and possibly magazines and there is also a picture below of it on a billboard. The text is mainly on the body of the character on the poster but there is one piece of text that isn't and that is the tagline. There is only one character on the poster but he appears on their twice but one of them is faded out a bit and so is the background to the left of the poster. This shows that there is two sides to this man and from looking at the poster the right side is him being a businessman because he is wearing a suit whilst the other side is his evil side because you can see he is holding a gun. The tagline 'Choose Wisely' shows that this character has to make hard decisions in this series and they will seriously affect his future. This is the only poster for season 1 that I could find.
A way that they have tried to get more people to watch the show is by putting CURTIS '50 CENT' JACKSON in capitals to show that someone who is famous is working on the show.

The trailer shows some short clips from the TV series but it also has some of the cast talk about the show and even though it does not show all the characters it shows 4 of the main ones. Another person that speaks in the trailer is the creator and executive producer of the show Courtney Kemp Agboh.
This trailer was advertised on Starz youtube channel and Starz is the TV channel that the show airs on. It also shows the two sides of the main character as it shows the night club that he owns but it also shows him shooting a gun and in the shot before there is someone laying on the floor beaten up and one of the cast members says something similar to this as they say "A man struggling between two worlds" and they also talk about him trying to change and stop being a drug dealer. Him having a gun might get people to watch the show maybe because they like a lot of action in a TV show and they might think that someone having a gun might do that. Another thing that it shows you is that he has a wife but towards the end of the trailer you can see him getting close with someone who isn't his wife. Seeing those clips shows you that this shows is going to have a lot of drama involved in it. The setting of the TV series is in central New York as you can see the city at the end of the trailer with the buildings having all the lights on at night. There are different versions of trailers but I believe this one is better because it gives you more than just showing clips and the trailer is 2 minutes long so it is not that long but it gets a lot of information across. Some things from this trailer that target the audience are things like the night club appearing a lot and a gun being fired. They made this trailer to give the viewers a taste of what the show is like and some of the things that will happen in that season in this case it is season 1.
